Last Monarch Butterfly Of The Fall Season

Description
This photograph was taken in the middle of November and the last of the wildflowers were still blooming. This beautiful Monarch Butterfly was flying through the area and found these flowers. It was having trouble staying on the little flowers but was determined to pick up any nectar left at this time of year. Its beautiful wings are stunning against the green in the background. I didn't see anymore after this day so that is why I called it the last butterfly.
The Monarch Butterfly (Danaus piexippus) are so named because of their abilities as the strongest, smartest and toughest of all butterflies. They can fly for a migration to 2500 miles. They are large and can have a wingspan of up to four inches.
