The Yukon is easily one of my favorite places to travel in all of Canada. Kluane Lake, located west of Whitehorse is the largest lake in the Yukon, and In recent years its level has dropped significantly due to its source being mostly cut off. A river flowing into the lake from a large glacier has changed course and its flow has been restricted. A marsh has formed where the river entered the lake and large swaths of swamp grass now inhabit the shallower water. The sun glinting off the lake enhances the graphic nature of the repetitive grass shapes and adds additional colour, texture, and mood to the scene, perfect for home and office decor.
