Lady Liberty with Fireworks is a composite photograph contrasting the Statue of Liberty against a backdrop of fireworks.
The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World) resides on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in the United States. The copper statue, a gift from the people of France, was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. Its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It became an iconic symbol of freedom and welcomed the many immigrants entering the United States through Ellis Island with hopes for a bright and prosperous future.
