Kahekili Hwy 340 At Honokohau Bay

Back in the early 2000's, driving around the West coast of Maui was rather dangerous. The single-lane road had many a blind curve as it snaked along cliff edges high above the rocky coastline. Auto-rental companies prohibited use of their vehicles on this stretch of road, though almost everyone ignored the restriction.
Honoapiilani Hwy (Hwy 30) followed the Southern coast and and Kahekili Hwy (Hwy 340) the Northern coast. In the Northwestern-most part of the island, the two roads came down to sea-level and merged at Honokohau Bay, a nice place to stretch one's legs and calm one's nerves.
One of the locals had a trailer parked on the rocky beach here, from which they sold cold drinks and sandwiches. Nothing beats slamming down a cold Hawaiian Sun fruit drink on a hot day--high in sugar, and oh-so-good!
