We were wandering in the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Garden on a warm sunny day enjoying all kinds of plant life when we stopped to take a break and rest in the shade. When we looked up to see which tree was providing relief from heat we were immediately attracted to the cascading form of this decorative evergreen, with its soft and feathery needle-like leaves.
The plant's foliage features rich natural textures in all shades of blue, blue-green, yellow-green, dark green and a touch of some cinnamon pink - a perfect still life that looks and feels as calming as nature.
