PD: Reproduction of vintage photograph of Josephine Baker: b. 1906 d. 1975. American - born French singer and dancer. Born Freda Josephine McDonald in Saint Louis, Missouri. She became a French citizen in 1937 - an International musical and political Icon, noted for her assistance in the civil rights movement, and during world war two assisted the French resistance in their fight against Nazi germany. The first American born woman to receive the French military honor " Croix de guerre ". A great and unforgetable lady.
