Description
I called this Birth of the Beatles as it was during a photo session in Hamburg that John was showing off his new hairstyle created by their friend Astrud. It was at this point that the first real "look" was being established that shortly afterward swept the entire world. I made this a monchrome painting to be in keeping with the artsy look of 1962. John was giving us his pose.
