I have painted Jekyll Island many times. I absolutely love the place. The beaches on the east coast are totally different from the ones that I loved in California and Oregon but Jekyll is special. There are the sea turtles. The craggy rocks along stretches of the beach. The great bike trails. And, best of all, it is quiet and serene with just about nothing to spoil the solitude. Go there is you get a chance. In fact, I'd like to go there right now...maybe next month.
