I remember when this plant bloomed in the Denver Botanic Gardens. They made a big deal of it- I they had had it for something like 9 years and were thinking of ripping it out because it just wasn't doing anything. Then they turned off their walkway lights in the conservatory at night to save on their electrical bill and the thing bloomed. I did some graphite and colored pencil studies of this plant and know it very well. You really did it amazing justice! Your painting technique is beautiful.
