Photograph - Photo Camera Art
While visiting the coastal towns and villages of Italy, particularly those along the Amalfi Coast. I was struck by their location, basically carved out of the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. I spent some time in the town of Ravello and climbed up and down the many steep steps between Ravello and the beach town of Minori. Along the way I saw many home entrances much like this one. Nothing says Italian architecture as does an arch. They are used frequently. The stone and wood used in construction add to the character, charm and rustic appeal. The light from the lamp adds a soft glow to enhance the area.More of my work can be viewed in my Italy Collection here in FAA.
