This reminds me a lot of Andrew Wyeth. Nice!

Jeff Burgess replied:

I've been told this, but I did not have him on my mind when I put this work together. The final image just came to me as I was developing it.

Absolutely stunning image Jeff! You just may be the master of manipulation! Bravo!!!

Jeff Burgess replied:

Definitely not "the" there as so many really good artists using manipulation on FAA... but thanks very much. Appreciate the thought.

I had to see if someone else mentioned Andrew Wyeth in the comments, & I see Guy did, because it's the first thing that came to mind for me too! THIS... IS... EXTRAORDINARY. What an AMAZING Painting.. So full of Mystery... like you said, it can be interpreted in many ways... I also see a side that's warm, inviting, and welcoming! BRAVO Jeff!!!

Jeff Burgess replied:

Thanks Danielle. I appreciate the look and comment. One thing though, this is NOT a painting. It is pure photographic manipulation.

I saw this late last night and it reminded me of something... went to sleep and today I remembered your image, looked again and it came to me that the composition reminds me of (Christina’s World, 1948, Andrew Wyeht). Great artists channel great ideas... my eye goes from foreground to the house and then the light in the upper left sky. Great image Jeff!!

Jeff Burgess replied:

Thanks so much Guy. When I began this composition I was intending something much different with different elements/composition. But this work suddenly emerged. I had not thought of Andrew Wyeht at the time but I can indeed see the similar look to his work Christina's World. Thanks for the comment.
