This remarkable, stunning, original image is one of the last photos I took of the beautiful Iris plantings at Tulane University. Upon, leaving I reached down and held my camera and just snapped the shutter. To my surprise the manual settings of one of the previous shots was still on macro mode and created this unique of purple mountains. The image depth of field of the other iris's and their petals and yellow shading created this once in a lifetime original, an abstract, surreal super close up of mother nature.
The Spring Equinox occurred on March 20, 2014. This beautiful Iris bud is one of many along the pathway planted at Tulane Campus uptown in New Orleans, Louisiana. This photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro zoom manual settings.
The uptown campus is ablaze currently with all shades and variety's of the Iris plants. Some of the species have crossed pollinated and include multi colored petals white, pink, lavender and deep purples to maroon. Its exciting to see the campus ablaze with such a beautiful species of flora this time of year.
