Description
This painting is a diptych, that is, an image painted on two canvasses. This tide pool is located on the North shore of Kauai in Hawaii. I painted this from a photograph and changed it quite a bit. When the tide is low, with no big waves, it s a special place to find beautiful small sea shells. It's also a place where people take their children to get them acclimated to the ocean. However, not when it is high tide as this painting shows.
