Description
This another "see if I can do it" painting! I wanted to capture some of the great flowers in our garden...this is just a small portion of what it looks like back there during the summer time. The way cool thing that I discovered over the summer is that we have an army of Praying Mantis out back. In fact I counted a total of 12 sightings! The most interesting encounter was when we were in the hot tub. A praying mantis flew on to my hand that was holding my beer, then he decided to jump in the hot tub and got sucked into the filter. I had to rescue him and fortunately he survived and flew away.

Mike! What a story to this absolutely beautiful painting!! Somewhere along the way I have heard it is very special and good fortune to have these creatures nearby, and that you saved one's life, well wow!! We usually get a few here but that is most often towards the end of the summer in September. Just love this incredible post and gorgeous art!!
