I Am Stumped Titmouse Bird
Photograph - Photograph
This sweet little bird with big round eyes is called a Tufted Titmouse. It was hopping around from tree to tree in a wild area where I was out bird watching. It landed on an old tree stump and found some insects within the old bark. They are fast little birds but since it found a few morsels in this stump, I was able to get a close up of the bird clinging to the bark.
The Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) bird lives mostly in woodlands, shade trees and groves and are very active birds. They forage among the trees and mostly eat insects and seeds, sometimes eating acorns as well. They are mostly seen in the eastern half of the United States.
