Hummingbird Hover And Zinnia Flower

Description
One of my Zinnia flowers just came to bloom and it is a pretty red and yellow flower. I didn’t realize that these flowers attract hummingbirds and I was so thrilled when this hummingbird came to visit the flower and search for nectar. It hovered over the flower for quite a while and took sips here and there. I think I captured a million photographs but only posting the best ones.
I believe this is a female Ruby-throated hummingbird.
Zinnias come in many colors and shapes and are easy to grow starting in late Spring through Summer. It is said that zinnias symbolize thoughts of friends who are not close by.
Ruby-throated hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris) are common in the Summer season. They will feed on nectar from flowers and they also eat insects. They nest in trees or large shrubs and some nest as high as 50 feet. They camouflage their nests with lichen or dead leaves.
