Description
Spending the summer in Peru to climb mountains in the Cordillera Blanca meant a lot of hardship and sacrifice. It also meant spending a lot of time in remote and inaccessible places. Most of all, it meant coming to terms with a lot of "Why am I doing this?" moments. Sometimes the joyous moments were not topping out at 20,000 feet or more but the long walks (without a 60 lb. backpack) on the down days, armed with nothing more than time and a camera. Such was this moment at the foot of Nevada Huarapasca at the southern end of the Cordillera Blanca. A tricolor mountain "laguna" slightly panned.
