Description

A love lock or love padlock is a padlock which sweethearts lock to a bridge, fence, gate, monument, or similar public fixture to symbolize their love. Typically the sweethearts' names or initials, and perhaps the date, are inscribed on the padlock, and its key is thrown away (often into the nearby river) to symbolize unbreakable love.

Since the 2000s, love locks have proliferated at an increasing number of locations worldwide. This is a photograph of Love Locks in Houston, Texas stratigecially place with the cities skyline in the background. Houston is the most populous city in the state of Texas and the fourth-most populous city in the United States.

This photograph has been made with an infrared (IR) converted Nikon D3300 camera. The 21st Century false color interpretation is intended to give a fairy tale like atmosphere to the scene.

Infrared Photography is an interpretation of reality with light not seen with the human eye in the near-infrared energy range. Ever since the first infrared photographs appeared over a century ago, the aesthetic has fascinated viewers with its otherworldly images. Making regular landscapes seem psychedelic and alien, the style is currently undergoing a resurgence in popularity as digital cameras have allowed a new generation to experiment with capturing different infrared wavelengths.
