Title
Holding On To An Idea
Artist
Ken Powers
Medium
Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
Have you ever wished you had a device that could hold those ideas that pop up above your head and always seem to escape? Commonly drawn as light bulbs, someone needs to invent a way to clamp them down and keep them from slipping away. When I saw this old trailer bulb, that is exactly what I thought of. This looked like a cartoon idea light bulb held in a device to keep it from escaping. This painting is considerably looser than most of my other work but was very fun to paint. It is painted with Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.
