My first full day in the Asheville area in late fall started out quite overcast which turned out to be perfect for shooting the waterfalls at DuPont State Forest. Also it was great to get some hiking in after the long drive the day before.
One of the falls I hiked to is High Falls, I took the trail to the base of falls and then rock hopped along the river edge for a close up look. I made it all the way to the rocks you see to the right of this shot, but the spray from the falls was getting a bit too much there for a clean shot.
