So many times in life we hide the pain we feel inside..perhaps to appear "normal" to others, perhaps because we don't want to acknowledge it..so many reasons. In this painting the black, reds, and oil pastels indicate the pain we all feel at times; the orange, blue, silver, and yellow the masks we put up to hide it from others and ourselves, even though eventually it seeps through and fails.
