Description
Spoiler alert! The spider is going after the fly. This one is a real page turner! At first it may appear that someone is getting a nasty reward for their curiosity but a closer look reveals the true allegorical nature of this piece.
Being too afraid to do anything results in achieving nothing but conquering fear is not without risks. Potential rewards make some risks acceptable and ignoring warning signs can also be risky. A great conversation starter for any room this may be displayed.
"the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself...nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance." -Franklin D. Roosevelt

This gives the term "don't turn the page" new meaning! Scary!

LOL Mario. Truth is I posted this piece a little prematurely and just updated this space with the final version. Hopefully still somewhat scary! :-)

Hmmm...interesting. I see a person who is allowing curiosity to enable him to explore what is behind the sheet and he is then rewarded with a nasty surprise that is rather frightful looking. This seems to be contrary to what you have written in your description. This person's "curiosity" has now put him into a situation where he needs to conquer a fearful thing. Seems he would have been better off leaving the paper alone and avoid the situation all together. Unless finding that particular type of spider is a goal for this person, I see no up side to the result of his curiosity. Perhaps I am overanalyzing this, but this is my take. Very interesting concept though.

Matthew, Thank you for your feedback, it was considered while finalizing this piece. I think you will find the description and the image now better align. Appreciate the input.
