Some universities like University of New Mexico (UNM) and Sol Ross State (SRSU) use the lobos as their mascots, which is the Spanish term for wolves. Other schools are called the Wolfpack, like North Carolina State (NC State), Oak Hills (OHCC), University of Nevada Reno (UNR) and Loyola New Orleans. There are other modifications too, including the Northwood Timberwolves, the Colorado State Pueblo Thunderwolves, the Lourdes Gray Wolves and the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves. Schools that use the basic wolf as their mascot include Northern State (NSU), Western Oregon (WOU), Walla Walla, West Georgia (UWG), Cheyney, Newberry and Cardinal Stritch.
