Happy Faces 300

What says "Happy" more than pansies? These beautiful blue flowers have the traditional blotch in the middle which appears to be a smiling face. The pansy is a favorite among gardeners and are a cool weather annual in the south as most can't survive the heat and sun. English common names for the flower, such as "pansy", "viola" and "violet," are often used interchangeably. There are differences, however. Plants considered to be "pansies" are classified in Viola sect. Melanium, and have four petals pointing upwards (the two side petals point upwards), and only one pointing down, whereas those considered to be "violets" are classified in Viola sect. Viola, and have two petals pointing up and three pointing down. But who's counting petals? Most just enjoy the beauty of these sweet flowers which come in a number of colors to brighten any garden.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
