Greater White-fronted Goose
Great White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons), foraging for breakfast.
Great White-fronted Geese breed in Alaska, northern Canada and Greenland. They winter in British Columbia to California (where this was photographed), New Mexico and the Gulf Coast in Texas and Louisiana. They forage on land and in water, where they submerge their head and neck or upend with tail up and head straight down.
