A panoramic view of the Great Sand Dunes, taken from our lodge. We stayed here for the night, as it was pretty much the only hotel in the area. While very basic, but otherwise fine, it did offer the fantastic advantage of presenting these morning views of the dunes. So much so, that if we had just given the dunes a few hours before moving on, I feel that we wouldn’t have really gotten the value from this trip. It was so great to wake up to this sight, reliving scaling the peaks the evening before. Colorado, 2020.
