Great Falls is a part of the National Park System, with entrances in McLean, Virginia, and Maryland. Great Falls is located along the Potomac River, and this stretch of the Potomac River narrows as the river flows through the Mather Gorge, where the river flows over jagged rocks, creating several waterfalls.
On this autumn day, I visited this national park, and I was not disappointed at the views of the river flowing over these steep large rocks.
