I drew this painting in 1998. The two characters are fictional. Old woman with facial features of country folk in Hiep Hoa isle - my mother hometown. Her headgear is also a typical accessory of the rural folk in South Vietnam. The young girl is her grandchild.
I love the smile of rural folk in there. So, I paint it.
