Golden Hour Panorama Of Field Of Indian Paintbrush Wildflowers Independence Washington County Texas
Photograph - Photograph
I woke up well before the crack of dawn with a not so definite plan to hunt for wildflowers to the west: From my house in Cypress I would drive up to the Brenham/Independence area hoping to catch a glimpse of any wildflowers growing in the fields between both towns, and hopefully catch them at the time the sun was rising, as to take advantage of the exploding colors in the sky. Twilight caught me in the outskirts of Brenham, and I had to make a decision fast. I decided to drive to Independence, where Old Baylor Park is. Well above the speed limit, I drove past fields and homesteads but I wasn't finding anything, until I looked to my left, west, and came across this idyllic scene of an indian paintbrush. More than happy and content, I pulled to the side of the road and executed this seven-image panoramic collage. The sky and the light were glorious that morning! Thanks for looking.
