Golden Bubbles Portrait
Pastel - Pastel On Tinted Paper/ Filter
My version of the famous Bubbles was inspired after Sir John Everett Millias and is in pastel on tinted paper, rather than oils, my version has deeper larger angelic eyes, with a more cherubic feel about it. The work was originally called; A Child's World, and was used as an advertisement for Pear's Soap by Lord Leverhulme and then was renamed Bubbles, the bubbly curly hair and blowing of the soap bubbles fitted it's new title along with the soap. This version of my work includes a golden tone, the bubbles being an allegory for champagne rather than soap to use as a greeting card for a celebration or any other print size you choose for this work, it's digitally enhanced in advertising poster style linear graining, giving the impact of gold makes it glow with a feeling of nostalgia within the rich classes of yesteryear of the little golden boy that posed for this wonderful iconic painting
