We’ve heard the expression, “God Bless America.”

But how many times have we heard, “America, Bless God”?

Wouldn’t it be nice to turn the tables and give honor to our Creator?

Indeed, it is good for us to give thanks and praise to the One from Whom all blessings flow.

It’s been also said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

How blessed we would be as a Nation and individually if we would give thanks and adoration to the Giver of life itself.

May this artwork be a gentle reminder ….. That placing our priorities in the right place is key to a life of peace and fulfillment.

God bless you… as you endeavor to be a blessing to God.

Artwork Notes ::

This photo of the U.S. Flag and latana plants in full bloom was taken at a church in Oakland, California in 2019. I added “God Bless America. America, Bless God”. Giving glory to God that my original flag photo was favorited by an editor at National Geographic Your Shot.

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist and photographer of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
