"Giant Swallowtail" by Diann Fisher This is the giant swallowtail (Papilio cresphontes), very abundant in Florida. This specimen was taken in my garden in Valrico, FL. As an adult butterfly they are beautiful. The larvae or caterpillar stage is considered more of a pest because the feed on Citrus foliage.
