Castine, Maine is a delightful little coastal New England town with a quaint commercial area, picturesque residential areas, and coastal views.
This inviting scene was photographed in a lovely neighborhood near the Castine lighthouse and lighthouse keeper's home.
The village is lovely to navigate on foot, bit it appears one of the locals prefers a sightly more efficient way. His bicycle was leaning up against this white wooden building. It was not chained or locked. How wonderful if that is still the custom in this little town in this day and age!
