Galaxy Beams Me

Description
A shot I took using a remote shutter of the Milky Way galaxy and myself. You can see the glow of billions of stars of the galactic center, and also the dust lanes. Something in the photograph looks like a streaming beam coming down to me. I don't know what it is, but I think it is cool. So I worked post processing to create a picture that tells a story of the galaxy beaming me with energy and neutrinos. I shot this with a Rebel D3200, through a Vivitar 28mm wide angle lens designed for 35mm film cameras. I have great luck with this lens. In post processing, I used subtle adjustments and then added in a dramatic film grain look. I shot this in the coastal plains of South Texas, where they meet Hill Country.
