After few failed attempts in the past year to photograph the Moon over lake George, yesterday everything worked out to perfection. I have photographed many times the moon over the lake but mostly they are taken when the lake was dry, my goal this time was to document all the stages of the moon during sunset and twilight while reflecting over the lake. During this time of the day the colours change pretty quickly creating dream like moments, it’s amazing to witness. I was so excited yesterday that I went live on my Facebook, I was so nervous as I am not used to it. Thank you to those that followed the show and asked questions.
These two are my favourite moments. The first is during Girdle (or Belt of Venus) that appears on the opposite and shortly after the sun sets, the second picture is few minutes after.
The rich the purple, blue and pink colours paint the sky as well as the wind turbines is what I was looking to photograph and the perfect conditions of weather allowed me to do so.
The second picture is a little calmer but that is what I like, as well as the movement of turbines (view on my Canberra Collection)
