I was recently diagnosed with early stage cataracts. I knew that it was a possibility because my dad had them when he was in his 50's. So when the diagnosis was given, I was fully prepared to have surgery. Sight is one of the five senses that we use everyday. Less then one hundred years ago, I would have gone blind. As a matter of fact, I was legally blind in my right eye. But I shoot my camera with my left eye. I guess this is common. In any case, I have had the surgery just last week and I could see really well the same day! So exciting. Today was the first day that I could go outside and take photographs without the sun blinding me...my pupils were really dilated. I am so grateful that I have this amazing garden in my back yard. I can't travel anywhere because of Covid-19, but I have been blessed with a wonderful back yard with glorious flowers to enjoy. These are Foxgloves! I have always wanted them in my garden to attract bees and hummingbirds. They are magnificent. It feels so wonderful to see again and to bring you a slice of beauty from my home. Enjoy!
