As I was walking along one of the trails at Lake Arrowhead Park, near Luray, Virginia, USA, the sky was pretty gloomy despite forecasts of the overnight clouds moving out. Just as I crossed over this little footbridge, the sun broke through, creating gentle patterns of dappled light on the planks. I got this shot in, then it was gone.
It's a simple image, really, but something about it really appeals to me.... peaceful, quiet, tranquil....
