Description
These brown pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis) taking off to find another feeding ground, or at least to get an elevated perspective on this one! It almost looks like a game as they follow the leader to take flight.
Per Wikipedia: The brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) is a small pelican found in the Americas. It is one of the best known and most prominent birds found in the coastal areas of the southern and western United States. It is one of only three pelican species found in the Americas and one of the only two that feeds by diving into the water.

Carol In real estate they say: location, location, location; in photography they say (or should say): timing, timing, timing -- and this is a perfect example of that!! An incredible study of wing structure! If I were a painter, I would stare at this every day to improve my wing painting abilities; since O'm not, I'll stare at it purely for is beauty!
