Description

The State College of Florida campus is about 100 acres and is open to local residents and visitors to visit to enjoy the large wetlands area which attracts many of Florida's coastal birds and wildlife to the shallow lakes and ponds. There is a paved trail around the lake and residents are invited to enjoy the natural environment. Many photographers also frequent the trail for glimpses of the beautiful coastal birds.

The waterlily pads fill the waterways, such as in this stream that runs along the perimeter roadway. The late November morning light created a beautiful landscape. There is no telling what Florida wildlife hides beneath the blanket of lily pads. Hikers always need to be vigilant.

I am an award-winning exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
