Painting - Acrylic On Canvass
My hope for us all, is that we find Grace sometime in our lives.
Forests, are an open invitation to enter into their mystery with our eyes, with our hearts and often with our whole being. It is where the magnet of light catches our soul and tugs us onward. While beckoning, they can also be arduous. Sometimes, when the journey is too hard, or too much, or too long; the onward tug is the only force powerful enough to pull us through to the other side.
It seemed easier when our carefree steps could run and jump and hop upon a rock or over a ravine — though some of us have never experienced the joy of carefree steps, still the forest beckons everyone to enter. Some of us, hear branches and leaves crunch under wheelchairs or walkers. Sometimes, in life's journey, the light is obscured or shadowed as we seek desperately for any hint of light to follow. Surviving the journey through physical pain, abuse, dementia, long term illness, or death seems to challenge the existence of Grace — though we continue to wake up each day.
For me, finding Grace is more about Grace finding me. About my Creator, creating hope in me. Or about Him depositing grit in my soul, so that I can stand, or simply the strength I need to hold my grip and not let go. Often it is about receiving miracles too great for my mind or heart to fathom. For me, Grace is a witness of Divinity in humanity as we are found, on the path. Whether we are on the path, removing stones or leveling ground, so that those coming behind us can see that there is a path — or even when we am face down and feel like we cannot rise.
Wherever you are on this journey we call life, may Grace find you today. May your find the grip of Grace — and may you find healing and may you find the Peace you need on the journey of Finding Grace.
