Artist
Al Andersen
Medium
Photograph - Digital Image
Description
A photograph of a beautiful Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) perched at the tip of a dead branch with a blurred green desert background. The hawk is lit from above and behind and has its wings half-open to let the breeze cool it down. The bird has brown, gray, and white plumage with hints of blue highlights.

Your photography is amazing. The clarity is always incredible. You must have incredible patience to photograph birds.
Al Andersen replied:
Thank you very much, Barbara. It's not really a matter of patience, but rather of persistance.. :-)

I can relate!!! I used to take a lot of photos of butterflies, but I think they see me coming with my camera and yell, "quick, get out, here she comes!" LOL!

Beautiful!!! You have very, very nice photography, Al. Love all of the bird shots!!!
Al Andersen replied:
Aw shucks, you're going to make me blush! Birds and I have a special bond - they scatter whenever they see me coming. I've been very, very, lucky to get any decent images of them. That's why I like landscapes... they don't move... often. :-)
