The wildflower Farewell-to-Spring (Clarkia rubicunda) is endemic to California, mostly found on the central coast. The blooms are poppy-like with wide, cup-shaped corollas of four pastel pink/purplish petals. The corolla sometimes has a red center. It usually blooms in May-July after the poppies have died in late spring, hence the name Farewell-to-Spring.
