This is an abstract impressionistic painting acrylic on mat board. I had this idea in my head of Mary and Jesus being the center of the tree of life! Mary as the queen of Heaven, Christ God’s Son. Christ said we Can be grafted in to that tree through our belief and commitment to him! That is the impressionistic thought for this painting! He is the root and the offspring of David the bright and morning star he is the root of the tree and we are the branches as we are grafted in for eternity into the heavenly tree of life everlasting! I hope this is a great thought for everyone for the new year, new life, Eternal life! This is a very different painting for me I don’t usually paint on mat board but I wanted to use a mat board and see how it would come out and then put the matting around it and have it actually be a part of the painting and I believe it came out well for something different from me the original has a lot of gold and a lot of glass powders in the paining and unfortunately I just haven’t figured out the way only when I’m very lucky at a certain angle does all the glittering glowing affects show. I hope you enjoy this it is extremely different to me but I’m trying to get away from so much realism sometimes!
