Fall Morning Through The Trees

Description
Created from a photograph taken in November, 2017, this old barn has seen better days. It was built in the 1700's, with beautiful hand hewn chestnut beams. Located on a now defunct dairy farm in New Milford, CT, the barn is used for storage only. The old silo is covered in Bittersweet vines, colors popping in the fall. The cupola has seen better days but remains as a beautiful fixture atop the new metal roof. A cupola is an important part of a barn, providing much needed ventilation for hay storage.
Fall in New England is spectacular, even long after the leaves have fallen to the ground there is still something so special about it. The light plays on the bare tree limbs, vines twist and turn around the places they grew strong in summer, the skies change quickly.
This was an HDR photo which I altered in Photoshop with layers and filters to achieve this painted look. Although I wish I could paint, digital alterations of my photos get me as close as I can to the real thing.
Photo taken in Litchfield County, New Milford, Connecticut.
