Description
I captured this in Auburn Maine. Intense fall foliage season is coming; no question about it. Autumn has to one of the most dynamic times of the year. The gorgeous vivid colors abound for only a short period of time. The past couple years it seemed weather played havoc. Too much moisture or rain and the colors become diminished, muted or muddy. This year, 2015, looks to be quite spectacular so far. A multi-colored array of vivid reds, oranges, and yellows popping a-midst green landscapes, or vice versa. The mountains, being cooler, are rushing ahead of the rivers in there color changes, as does the difference between the northern portions of the states moving southward. It is a spectacular time for the avid photographer, or for anyone just wishing to take a short reprieve from their chaotic summer. Very few places have the diversity of plant life that Maine and the rest of New England is most blessed with, hence Visitors come from all over the world to experience what we often take for granted.
