Description
This pretty little bird is called a Tufted Titmouse and it was hopping around from tree to tree in a wild area where I was out bird watching. They hunt for insects and this image was just before it was ready to go to a tree to the left. They are fast little birds, so it is always fun to get a good shot as it gets ready to fly off.
The Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) bird lives mostly in woodlands, shade trees and groves and are very active birds. They forage among the trees and mostly eat insects and seeds, sometimes eating acorns as well. They are mostly seen in the eastern half of the United States.
