This is a digital enhancement of my original painting Pond In Acadiana. I darkened the colors to make it into an evening scene. The beautiful Mallards fly in front of the moon. Their shadows are shown as reflections in the pond. The home in the back is a typical Acadian style home. The staircase on front porch leads to attic. The older boys and bachelors in the family lived there. The reason for this is so they could go out farming, fishing, or trapping without waking the rest of the household.
