Beech Mountain in Acadia National Park is one of our favorite hikes. There are many ways to reach the top of the mountain. I particularly love following the back side of the mountain before making the hike upwards. This is why. The trail is like walking in an emerald forest. There are ferns, moss covered rocks, old and ancient trees. The sun shines through creating little pockets of light that illuminate the leaf and pine needle covered path. It is this green, I promise you! There are so many amazing hikes inside Acadia National Park, but I have to say that I think this one is my favorite. It's generally not crowded at all, so you feel like it is your own private mountain. Welcome to paradise!
