Description

This colorful Eastern Towhee bird from the Sparrow family is displayed here as a bright solo watercolor painting. This interesting bird can be found in the Eastern United States of America and this one was found in NC. He likes to be out in the morning scratching through the brush digging up sunken seeds and other forms of food. This painted animal, joins its other Spring birds in Donoghue's animal collection. Painted during the 4th week of Stay at Home orders across the country and would was completed with the intention to share the hope and faith that springtime brings. Each day the sighting of one of these birds and the sound of their chirping songs brings light and hope to so many people. This series was also made to encourage the writing of letters and cards to shrink the distance and battle the isolation that the miles and continued social distance bears. People have done many things to motivate themselves but what they have done for others has probably helped them the very most. Please see the Spring time birds of this series, completed during Holy Week 2020.
