Eagle On The Train
Photograph - Photography
From the Verde Canyon website I got the following information:
"Since the first Verde Canyon Railroad excursion rolled out of Clarkdale more than 30 years ago following a historic route completed in 1912, our train has expanded in length, number of employees, and amenities, but has never lost its commitment to preserving, protecting and presenting to the world the rare red rock riparian wilderness it calls home.
This blue train along with the eagle emblem can be seen at various times while traveling down the track. That is because there are some curves that require the train to turn at such an angle that you can see the front while riding in the back!!"
Unfortunately, on the day we were riding the train it rained so we had to come and go out to see the train on the tracks ahead of us between the raindrops but it was a beautiful trip through the Canyon..
